Principal’s Message

Hello Families!
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m pleased that the majority of our parents met
with teachers during Parent Conferences to
discuss student progress and receive report
cards. If you were unable to meet with your
child’s teacher/s, please contact them by email or
phone to schedule a conference and pick up your
child’s report card.
During the month of December, students will be
busy with their regular school work and they will
be involved in rehearsing for our Holiday
Program. The annual Holiday Program is a longstanding
tradition at Parent School that has been
a positive and memorable experience for
students, and enjoyed by audiences. I hope to
see all families at the program–Thursday,
December 14th at 6:00p.m.
As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, WRITING
is one of our main areas of focus this year.
Students must be able to compose written
responses in all subjects in order to successfully
master Common Core State Standards and “Meet
or Exceed the Standard” on the SBAC. Winter
Break is a perfect time for students to keep a daily
journal. Even a short paragraph each day will give
students an opportunity to reflect on the day’s
events and express themselves in writing.
Best Wishes for the Holiday Season!

Mr. Gregory
